An industrial perimeter is long, the fabric is heavy and the gates carry most of the engineering. The fence goes around a truck court, a laydown yard or a plant, the openings see a hundred cycles a day, and every one of them has to keep working while the fence goes in. The cheapest bid on a job like this is the one that priced the fence and forgot the site.
We price the site. A hundred crews take the line in sections so the trucks keep moving, the cantilever gate footings are a line on the bid rather than a change order, and the operators are industrial duty because a light-duty motor on a truck gate dies in a year. Nobody in Texas puts more crews on a perimeter, and nobody has more steel on the truck.
What an industrial site buys from us, sized for the traffic it sees
The fabric is heavy, the posts are Schedule 40 and the gates take a hundred cycles a day.
Eight-foot chain link with barbed or razor topping
Nine-gauge or six-gauge fabric, galvanized to ASTM A392 Class 2 or vinyl coated, on Schedule 40 posts, with three strands of barbed wire or concertina on an arm.
Cantilever slide gates
Gate leaves to forty feet where the drive has no room to swing, on posts and footings sized for the leaf and for Texas clay.
Industrial-duty gate operators
Operators listed to UL 325 and built to ASTM F2200 Class III, the industrial class, rated for the cycles a truck court actually sees, with loops, readers and a knox box.

Built for the wind, the clay and the cycle count, not just the height
At eight feet the wind loads the whole face. ASCE 7-22 treats a solid or slatted panel as a freestanding wall, the end panels and the gate posts carry the highest loads on the site, and the code sizes every post as a cantilevered pole whose embedment grows with the wind and shrinks only as the soil gets stronger. Texas clay is not strong soil, so a cantilever gate post drives a deep, wide footing, and it is on our bid by name.
The gate is where an industrial perimeter fails first. Operators carry a duty rating, light, medium or industrial, and the industrial class is the one rated for the cycles a truck gate sees; exceeding the class cuts the operator's life. Every powered gate we hang carries a UL 325 listing and its ASTM F2200 class, with two entrapment protections in each direction and monitored sensors.
A hundred crews means a plant perimeter goes in by section on the plant's schedule, nights and weekends included, and two million feet of fence last year says we have done it before. One year of craftsmanship on every foot.
How the job runs while the yard keeps running
The line goes in by section so trucks keep moving, every opening we take out has a plan for the traffic that used it, and night and weekend work is ordinary. Crews carry the site's safety orientation, and we coordinate with the security contractor who owns the cameras on the same posts. One person owns the job from the walk to the punch list.
What to send so the bid comes back complete
Send the survey, the gate openings, the truck turning paths, the soil report if you have one and anything known to be underground. Tell us the cycles a day the main gate sees, because that sets the operator class, and we will price the footing rather than bury it.
