Started by a father and son, and still built the way they built it
Eric Dale and his father John started Johnson in Tomball in 2002, with fifty thousand dollars and a full-page ad in the Yellow Pages. The name is a nod to John and his son. Eric drove the new subdivisions north of Houston and met the builders on their own sites, and the company went from fencing one back yard to fencing every home in a neighborhood.
From 2002 to 2019 Johnson fenced back yards for the regional and national builders in Houston, and it ran the work like a logistics company rather than a fence shop. A salesperson measured every job before anyone priced it. The crew loaded every picket at the yard before the truck left. Several crews ran at once, because the back yard fence is the last trade on a new home before it can close, and a crew out sick cannot hold up a closing.
In 2020, after John retired, the family office Quadrex Capital Partners partnered with Eric to take the company to the rest of Texas. Johnson opened yards in Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio and Austin, added masonry and outdoor construction, and became Johnson Services Company. Today a hundred crews run out of seven yards in four metros, and last year they put up two million feet of fence across more than twenty thousand jobs without one callback.

Run like a logistics company
A salesperson measures every job before anyone prices it, and the crew loads every picket at our yard before the truck leaves.
That is how a builder got a hundred back yards fenced on schedule in 2005, and it is how a homeowner gets one fence on the date we gave them today. Nothing about the price changes on install day, and nobody waits on a delivery.
Most fence companies run one to three crews. Johnson runs more than a hundred, so a crew out sick is our problem rather than yours.
Three things Johnson did in 2002, and does on every job today
Small crews guess at your yard. Johnson measures it, and still comes in lower on wood.
A salesperson measures every quote on site with a tape, and the crew counts and loads the materials before the truck leaves.
A hundred crews, so the date we give you is the date you get
100-plus crews against the one to three a typical competitor runs.
Twenty thousand fences last year, and not one callback
Zero craftsmanship-warranty callbacks across 20,000-plus jobs last year. History, never a promise.

Twenty thousand fences last year, and not one callback
These guys are great 😊 👍 They charged almost $900.00 less than three other companies for the same metal, coating and paint for my black metal fence in Del Webb of The Woodlands…Thanks Matthew.
Rita S., The WoodlandsGoogle review, Houston North office, October 2024 Options were presented to work within our budget. Supervisor confirmed timeline, crew arrived promptly, confirmed work scope, worked efficiently and left the property clean.
Celeste T.Google review, Houston North office, August 2025 Johnson replaced a metal fence along my back yard. They were responsive to my needs, came in a fair price and delivered as promised. The quality of the materials is excellent and the installation was seamless. i would highly recommend them.
David H.Google review, Houston North office, August 2025 I have had Johnson services first – put in a perimeter fence, then- add a front gate, then add a side gate, then recently a back gate- I have been very pleased with all of their work, their workers, their sales person, and office staff. Thank you very much!!! This is over a 3 year period- still satisfied.
Vivian B.Google review, Houston North office, October 2025 Great work. We had two gates installed in the back yard and all fence posts wrapped in cedar. Turned out amazing. Great communication and pricing was fair. I’d use Johnson Services Company again.
