The crew pulls the old panels, rails and pickets first and stacks them for haul-off. The old posts come out with the concrete still on them. Nothing stays buried in your yard and nothing sits at the curb for you to deal with.
On an established lot there are live oaks on the line and irrigation under it. The crew pulls the old fence without killing the trees and finds the lines before the auger does, and that work is in the price rather than a surprise on the day.
New posts go into concrete, below the ground that moves
The crew digs each hole to the depth the height asks for, wet sets the post in concrete and lets it cure. Texas clay moves through a dry summer and a wet spring, and a post set shallow is why a fence leans three years later. Ours do not.
The frame goes up next: treated pine rails between the posts, three of them on a six-foot fence. This is the part you do not see, and it is the part that keeps the line straight.

How long does it take to build a wood fence?
Most back yards finish the day the crew starts. A long fence, a heavy gate or a lot of tree roots take more than a day, and the salesperson gives you the day count before you sign.
Do I need to be home while the fence goes up?
Not for the build. You do need to be there for the walk-through at the end, because you walk the fence line and the gates with the foreman and say whether it is right before anyone leaves.
What happens to the old fence?
All of it leaves with the crew the same day: the panels, the posts and the concrete they sat in. Tear-out and haul-off are in the one price, never a line added to your bill.
How soon after the quote can the crew start?
About four days after you sign, on a typical job. A hundred crews means one is free when you are ready, and the date we give you is the date you get.
What if the crew hits an irrigation line or a root?
On an established lot the crew expects both. Finding the lines before the auger does and working around the roots is in our price, and a cheap bid leaves it out.
